Overview

We have reviewed our Co-Ordinated Admissions Scheme for Primary, Infant, Junior and Secondary schools for Reading Borough Council for the 2020/2021 academic year and Admissions Policy for Infant, Junior and Primary Schools 2020/2021. As a result we are proposing some amendments.

The consultation is taking place between 15 October and 9 December 2018.

Please note - a new question (proposed change 1) has been added to the Primary Admissions Policy for Community Schools 2020 as of 22/10/2018, and the previous proposed changes renumbered 2 to 9).

Why your views matter

The School Admissions code of 2014 section 1.42 says all admission authorities must consult on their admission arrangements at least every 7 years. It has been 7 years since Reading Borough Council last consulted on its admissions arrangements and therefore we have to consult this year. We welcome your feedback on the proposed changes.

Please read the full document(s) in the Related section below and give your feedback on the proposed amendments by clicking 'Online survey'.
