We all need to think more about the waste we produce and what we do with it.

Here in Reading we currently recycle 35% of our household waste, our aim is to recycle at least 50%.

Reading Borough Council is introducing a new weekly food waste collection and supplying a 140 litre black wheeled bin to households. You’ll receive full details about your food waste collections nearer the time.

Understanding your views on recycling is important to us to ensure a smooth transition to the new waste service.
