Overview
Creating adult social care provision and affordable housing
As part of our plans to deliver vital adult social care and affordable housing for the people of Reading, Reading Borough Council is working on plans to redevelop the old Central Swimming Pool site on Battle Street. This has been identified as the best location to deliver the proposals which include:
- an older persons day centre
- sheltered housing for over 55’s
- supported living flats with support spaces
- general needs affordable housing and flats.
The floor plan indicates supported living flats (in blue), general needs flats (in orange), old person's day centre (in brown), family houses (in pink and sheltered flats (in grey).
