Views were sought on changes to the Local Plan arising from a public examination.

There were 114 responses to various elements of the Plan.  Most of the responses related to the proposed development of Reading Golf Club.

We did

Responses were passed to the independent Planning Inspector who conducted the examination into the Local Plan.

Results updated 8 Jan 2020

The responses were passed directly to the Planning Inspector for her consideration, as part of the public examination process.  The report of the Planning Inspector into the Local Plan is available on the website.

Overview

The Council is preparing a new Local Plan, which sets out the policies for development up to 2036.  This Local Plan is currently going through an  examination with an independent Inspector, and the Inspector has identified a number of changes that are needed.  We are currently consulting on those changes, known as Main Modifications.
