Proposed Resident Permit Scheme - The Willows & St Stephens Close

Closed 6 Dec 2018

Opened 15 Nov 2018

Overview

The Council has been asked to consider the introduction of an on-street Residents Permit Parking scheme in The Willows & St Stephens Close, due to parking pressures in this area.

Following the approval of the Traffic Management Sub-Committee in November 2018, we are now conducting a legal statutory consultation on a proposal for a ‘permit holder parking only past this point’ restriction in The Willows & St Stephens Close. This restriction would simply be a sign at the entrance to The Willows stating the restriction. This restriction would require all parked vehicles to have a resident parking permit.

A copy of the advertised notice and a drawing of the proposal can be found at the bottom of this page. Comments, support or objections to the proposal can be submitted by completing the online form on this page, emailing highway.objections@reading.gov.uk or by writing to C J Brooks, Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Reading Borough Council, Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading RG1 2LU by 6th December 2018.

The results of this consultation will be reported to the Traffic Management Sub-Committee in January 2019. The Sub-Committee will review any objections received and decide whether or not the proposals will be implemented.
