Can the Apprenticeship levy help your organisation?”

Overview

Reading Borough Council is an Apprenticeship Levy paying organisation.  The council has not yet fully-utilised 100% of its apprenticeship levy.  We are allowed to pass on some of our levy to other organisations.  The levy can be used to upskill your existing staff and becoming an Apprentice does not affect earnings.

 Non-levy paying organisations are expected to contribute 5% towards training costs – this can range from £75 - £1500 per person depending on the Apprenticeship undertaken.

Why your views matter

 At this stage we’d like to establish if there is demand for funds from non-levy paying organisations with a view to informing our ongoing utilisation policy - we’re only asking four questions so we wouldn’t expect this to take more than a few minutes to complete.
