Transforming Mental Health Services - Focus House

Closed 16 Jun 2017

Opened 20 Mar 2017

Overview

Due to unprecedented cuts in funding, the Council is facing extreme financial pressures. This means we are constantly reviewing/transforming our services, including adult social care services, to ensure they are appropriate, effective, cost efficient and sustainable.

As a part of this process we are reviewing our mental health services and are now consulting  on proposals to change some services provided by Focus House, in particular the residential care element of the service which currently provides 24/7 care and support to seven residents.

We are working individually with service users, families/carers and staff who would be affected by our proposals.

We also want to hear from residents and other stakeholders who have an interest in mental health services in Reading.

This questionnaire sets out our proposals. Please take a few minutes to read through and give your views.

If you would like a large print version of this consultation or would like help with completing it please email us or call us.

A report on the response to this consultation and the final recommendations will be made at the Council’s Adult Social Care Children’s Services and Education Committee in July 2017.
