Grovelands Road Area Resident Permit Scheme

Overview

The proposed new resident permit parking scheme for the Grovelands Road area is intended to create a managed parking scheme that prioritises resident parking in the area. This proposal follows the receipt of local requests for such measures and informal consultations to gauge the wider desirability for a scheme to be developed.

We have undertaken to develop a scheme that balances the need to maximise the level of available parking places with restrictions that enable periods of shorter-duration, non-permitted visitor parking. The scheme has been designed with areas where parking is prohibited to maintain visibility in key locations (e.g. around junctions) and to facilitate safe emergency service/large vehicle access.

We are now carrying out statutory consultation on this proposal. Objections or comments should be sent in by:
